Fast & Fabulous Friday - Ornament?

Good Morning, Stampers!

Today's Fast & Fabulous Friday goes along with a challenge on Shelli's blog SO SHELLI
for the month of January.

The challenge was to step out of your comfort zone and try to create something new. Well, this is what I came up with:

I always find it difficult to come up with new uses for products except for what they are intended for. I am SO not an "out of the box" thinker! In this case, I used the Vintage Ornament Decor Stencils (117580 $14.95) from page 32 of the Definitely Decorative brochure to create a card perfect for a wedding, Valentine, Anniversary or "Just Because". I also incorporated the oh-so-yummy Red Glimmer Paper (121790 $3.95) from page 7 of the NEW Occasions Mini Catalog.

The Decor Stencils are so simple to use! I created this card in less than 5 minutes!

1. Using the 1st layer of the stencil and a sponge dauber, sponge Peach Parfait into the stenc

2. Add a second color, Regal Rose on top to highlight.

3. Use the second stencil layer with a dauber & Rose Red.

4. Using your markers, add color to the sentiment stamp. Here, I highlighted the "love" in Rose Red and the remainder of the sentiment in Chocolate Chip ink.

5. Punch a heart in the Red Glimmer Paper.

6. Add a red ribbon knot with a glue dot.

7. Mount panel to card.

Perfectly Punched

Good Morning, Stampers!


The theme for my 3/$5 classes this week is Perfectly Punched. I try to show things to do with punches that are "out of the box". This cute little guy was not my original idea, but thought that he was way too cute to pass up!

He uses the 1 3/8" circle punch (119860 $15.95) for the head; the 1 1/4" circle punch (119861 $15.95) for the body and the heart small punch (117193 $5.95) for the antenna. He is perfect for any child, don't you think???

Stampin' Up! Designer Fabric - Pincushion

Good Morning, Stampers!

I have a fun project for you using our new Springtime Vintage Fabric (121817 $9.95) from the Occasions Mini Catalog. This pincushion is such a simple project - you can complete it in less than 30 minutes. Best of all there is NO SEWING!!

Supplies:

Stampin' Up! Designer Fabric cut into a 6" square; hot glue; straight pins; canning jar; cardboard; fiberfill stuffing; buttons or ribbon

Instructions:

1. Trace the lid of the jar onto a piece of cardboard; cut out.

2. Place the stuffing on the cardboard and cover with fabric. Hot glue the edges to the underside of the cardboard.

3. Place the pincushion inside the canning ring.

4. Fill the jar with buttons (or ribbons, etc.) and place on the jar.

One of my all-time favorite holidays is Valentine's Day! (wink, wink) I created this card for my upcoming Valentine Class this Monday.

I really do love the new Red Glitter paper (121790 - $3.95/2) from the Occasions Mini Catalog! It is so shimmery! This new Easter Blossoms stamp set (w121905 $25.95 - c122057 $18.95) is adorable! I am sure you will see quite a few things from this set!

Good Morning, Stampers!

This is one of the cards we will be making today at my 3/$5 class. It is a simple card & I love how coloring this stamp from Razzle Dazzle (116714 - $18.95) with different color markers makes such a great focal point for a card! For the scallop border, I simply punched the Scallop Oval (119856 - $16.95) & cut in half.
